This privacy policy governs your use of the software application “Lu und die Welt der Buchstaben” (“Application”) for iPhone and iPad created by Jonathan Zebhauser. The Application is a casual game with the goal of drawing forms, numbers, letters and words in a given setting.
There is no warranty for being able to learn to write, nor that the product is free of errors – as also stated in its description. Use of the product is at the user’s own risk; for minors, their legal guardians are responsible for supervising how the product is used.
What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?
1) User Provided Information
The Application itself does not offer any in-app input forms (e.g., usernames). The only situation in which you provide information to us is when you contact us proactively by email (see “Contact” below). In that case we process your email address and message content solely to respond to your inquiry and delete them when the conversation is finished unless statutory retention duties apply. Legal basis (GDPR): Art. 6(1)(b) and/or (f) GDPR.
2) Automatically Collected Information:
Does the Application collect or store any user-related data?
No. The Application does not collect, store, transmit, or process personal data to the developer. No tracking, no profiling, and no developer backend/server communication takes place.
Does the Application collect precise real-time location information of the device?
No. The Application does not collect location data.
Device permissions: The Application does not request optional device permissions (camera, microphone, contacts, photos, tracking, etc.).
Processing by Apple (separate responsibility by Apple)
The app is distributed via the Apple App Store. Apple may process personal data in its own capacity, e.g., Apple ID/account data, purchase and payment data (including in-app purchases), App Store search and usage data, and analytics used to operate and improve Apple services. We do not receive access to such data from Apple.
Learn more from Apple:
Payments / In-App Purchases
If you make an in-app purchase or subscription, payment processing is handled exclusively by Apple. We do not receive your payment card details or other payment information.
Third parties and SDKs
Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?
No. The Application has been built with Unity as the game engine without enabling Unity Services (e.g., Unity Analytics, Unity Ads, Cloud/Remote services) and without integrating any external third-party SDKs for analytics, advertising, or social media. Consequently, no personal data is transmitted to Unity from our implementation. For general information about Unity’s policies you may consult: https://unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy
Children’s privacy
The Application is designed without collecting personal data from children. It contains no third-party advertising and no third-party analytics. Legal guardians remain responsible for supervising use by minors.
Your rights (GDPR)
Where we process your personal data (typically only if you email us), you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and objection (Articles 15–22 GDPR).
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. For example, in Berlin: Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, mailbox@datenschutz-berlin.de, https://www.datenschutz-berlin.de/
